“What the world needs right now is some good vibes, some positive energy, some uplifting melodies.”  CLASH

“A combination of disco and funk elements to join a wall-shaking party of a chorus hosted by an absolute slammer of a guitar riff. Play it loud.” INDIE SHUFFLE

The Modern Strangers appeared out of nowhere, dropping the incendiary demo that grabbed people’s attention on new years day 2016. Their debut ‘Vanilla’ dropped at the end of last summer, quickly picked up by that arbiter of taste “Made in Chelsea” and it’s terrific follow up ‘Weekend Men’ currently picking up plays nationally, with Huw Stephens at Radio 1 playing the track and Abbie McCarthy at BBC introducing championing the band regionally– The Modern Strangers (brothers Max and Archie) keep the tempo high; their unique brand of spiralling, euphoric electronic indie is continuing to inject a sense of fun back into guitar music.  Their mission to get people dancing and partying has marked them out as a band who put smiles on all who see them. Booked for a slew of festivals across the summer, 2017 looks like it’ll be the breakout year for the band. ‘Margarita’ is also the subject of a scientific investigation after the BBC plugged a new algorithm presented to them into their upload system to identify what makes a hit record, over 17,500 songs were analysed: at positions 1 and 3 were the Modern Strangers…You can’t fault scientific research, see the clip here:
