Village Green

Village Hall

Red, white and blue, the Village Hall is something new! Think morris dancers, ceilidh, maypole, scrabble boards and a Sunday morning newspaper club. Come and test your knowledge of the most weird and wonderfully British words in Dictionary Corner, and wash it all down with tea, cake, jam and scones. We will be finishing each day with a perfectly fitting cockney piano singalong with Sing-Along-A-John!

Charlbury Finstock Morris Dancers

We are thrilled to be joined by Charlbury Finstock Morris who currently have members living in Burford, Shipton, Witney, Oxford, Chippy as well as Finstock and Charlbury. Morris Dancing is a local tradition with a history dating back to the 19th century and earlier with many dances and tunes recorded from this area of the Cotswolds. Come and get involved!

Charlbury Women's Institute

If you’ve long harboured a desire to learn to knit or crochet, these workshops will set you on your way to a lifetime of woolly creation. Learn the basics of either craft and depart with the skills to attempt a larger project. Or join in the Sewing Bee and make your own bunting - easy and fun, and brilliant for birthdays, weddings, picnics and parties.

Workshops will be hosted by Charlbury Women’s Institute. Yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles and bunting fabric will be provided. You are welcome to take away whatever you make on the day.

Forget Me Nots Floral Designs

Be king or Queen of the Feastival and create your own beautiful floral crown! Using fresh, fragrant British blooms, we will guide you on the techniques required to make your own unique designs. This workshop will run for approximately one hour. All flowers and equipment will be provided.

Poetry on Tap

Imagine a beer festival, with poetry instead of beer, but just as intoxicating. Starring the authors of 'A Funny Way With Words' – Rob Stepney, Adrian Lancini, John Lanyon and Ed Fenton – you'll be given tasting notes with brief descriptions of their eclectic poems and prose, rated in flavour from light to dark, and mild to bitter. The audience then chooses which pieces are performed by the writers, and the names of the pieces are crossed off with spraypaint, until either you can consume no more, or their barrels of lyrical nectar have run dry.

Family Sports Day

For budding little athletes, along with mums and dads who want to relive their school sport’s days of yesteryear, there will be plenty of fun and games to get involved in at our inaugural family sports day. Between the classic egg and spoon and the ever-comical 3 legged races, there will be something for everyone. Croquet, hopscotch, tug of war and hoopla will all be making experiences throughout the weekend. We can’t promise our competitive sides won’t come out…see you on the finish line!!
