NEFF Little Kitchen
NEFF’s Little Kitchen is the perfect place to introduce little people to the joys of food and cooking, in partnership with Hobbs House Bakery.
This fun and educational NEFF zone allows children to select fresh ingredients from the allotment and make child-friendly dishes. With a range of different recipes, they’ll get the opportunity to try new foods, get their hands dirty and really get into the food festival spirit. And of course, like any kid’s party, there will be plenty of goodie bags for the little ones to take away to remember their day.
We’ve been busy all summer tending vegetables with the RAU and testing recipes with NEFF and Hobbs House, all in preparation for our budding young chefs! Starting in the RAU Veg Patch, children will get green fingers picking fresh carrots, courgettes and beetroot. They will then enter the NEFF Little Kitchen where the team from Hobbs House will lead them through a cookery session, baking either some savoury falafel or sweet muffins all with the veg they’ve just picked.
Registration is free and will take place at the RAU Veg Patch on the day on a first-come, first-served basis.
