The Big Top is set to be bigger and better than last year with more space for more mini Feastival-ers to come and take part! Last year we had fab activities for your little ones to get stuck into - watch this space for more 2018 updates!
In 2017 Yellow Flamingo started each day with movement classes for mums, dads and little ones. This session incorporated stretching to dancing, yoga to jumping and was geared towards your youngest children, catering for babies from 0 - 4.
Meanwhile, Calypso Kids brought buckets of fun to entertain The Big Feastival’s youngest festival-goers with percussion workshops taking them on a musical adventure!
Baby Boogie took over the Big Top where toddlers, children and grown-ups grab some space on the dance-floor and let the music lead. It was the perfect way to let their hair down for a disco delight (complete with party games) and cut a few shapes on the dance floor!
Parents were amazed at how their child appreciated Bach, Beethoven and Brahms in our classical music sessions run by Bach to Baby. A harp soloist came to entertain little ones with her soothing strings.
For all of our budding karate kids, Ninja Tots ran martial arts classes every day in the Big Top tent. Parents enjoyed watching their little ones channel their inner Jackie Chan!
Tales from the Shed were vibrant, interactive theatre shows that were perfect for young children. They were informal, lively and amazingly engaging as the performers and audience shared the same space within an inclusive environment. Their shows and audiences reflected the diverse world we live in where everyone is included. Children were encouraged to make a lot of noise and helped make the story happen. Shows were fun, really silly there were plenty of colourful puppets - from Can-Can the beautiful bird to laid back Lion Down and The Thing That Goes Blurgh!
Caroline Newman or commonly know as The Dance Lady has been delivering Fun fitness and Dance sessions to children for over 20 years, and did not disappoint at our 2017 event. Caroline DanceLady works mostly in schools across Wiltshire and Dorset delivering Dance curriculum themed sessions as well as Cheerleading Hula Hooping and general Fitness Fun!
Pyjama Drama delivered drama and imaginary play classes to young children and each class incorporated music, songs, dance, games and of course a whole lot of pretending. From flying to the moon in a space rocket, to digging for buried treasure with the pirates, each unique class took us on a magical adventure that allowed children to explore their imaginations in their own way. Classes took place in the Big Top for two fantastically fun interactive shows where we saved the Teddy Bears Picnic from Cranky Croc, helped the Superduper Super Hero’s with their attempt to defeat the Misery Monsters, and enjoyed the experience all the fun Pyjama Drama had to offer!
To bring all of the excitement to a close each day, we also had bedtime storytelling sessions to help send your little ones off to sleep. 2018 activities and special guests to be announced so watch this space!
